Born Into the Law. Committed to Justice.

Deborah Geraldine Bledsoe Ford was not introduced to the courtroom later in life — she was born into it. Raised in a family that helped shape legal history, the law has been a constant presence from her earliest years.

She is the granddaughter, daughter, and niece of accomplished judges and attorneys whose work set historic precedents. Her grandfather, Harold Bledsoe, was the first Black Assistant Attorney General in Wayne County, breaking barriers and opening doors for future generations. Her mother, Geraldine Bledsoe Ford, made national history as the first Black woman elected as a judge in the United States, earning widespread respect for her leadership and judicial excellence.

With more than 18 years of experience as both a judge and a practicing attorney, Deborah Geraldine Bledsoe Ford continues this legacy with distinction — bringing integrity, discipline, and a deep understanding of the courtroom into every case she handles. For her, justice is not simply a profession. It is a responsibility passed down through generations.

DUI Defense

A DUI charge can carry serious legal, financial, and personal consequences, including license suspension, fines, and potential jail time. Effective DUI defense requires a thorough understanding of traffic stops, field sobriety testing, breath and blood analysis, and the procedural rules governing DUI cases. An experienced DUI defense attorney carefully examines every aspect of the arrest to identify errors, challenge unreliable evidence, and protect your driving privileges. With strategic representation and early intervention, DUI defense can help minimize the impact of charges and safeguard your future.

An experienced defense attorney works to protect your constitutional rights at every stage of the process while pursuing the best possible outcome—whether through negotiation, motion practice, or trial advocacy.
